Weekly Offerings
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7
Bethel CRC members support many causes through our Offering Schedule. Each Sunday, money is collected for Bethel’s general budget and for designated ministries:
1st Sunday: Missionaries
2nd Sunday: Christian Education
3rd Sunday: Outreach
4th Sunday: Ministry Shares
5th Sunday or Special Service: World Renew
Offerings are a gift a gratitude. Donations can be made in-person Sundays or by e-transfer to: betheltreasurer@wightman.ca.
1st Sunday - Missionaries
We support missionaries from a number of different organizations with financial, prayer support and encouragement through regular correspondence through our Deacons. For more information on the missionaries we support visit the Missionaries page here.
2nd Sunday - Christian Education
Christian education is a response to baptismal vows to train our children in the ways of the Lord. A good foundation begins with education and training at home and reinforced with programs at church. There are also many members of our church that choose formal Christian education to further disciple their children, and Bethel CRC is blessed to be able to support Listowel Christian School and Woodland Christian High School.
3rd Sunday - Outreach
For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ Matthew 25:38-40
4th Sunday - Ministry Shares
Ministry Shares is a partnership of Christian Reformed Churches in North America to combine financial resources and achieve greater efficiency and impact per dollar for a variety of ministries.
