WHO WE ARE:
Bethel CRC is a growing community of multi-generational families united in faith in Jesus Christ, with deep roots established in Listowel, Ontario in 1951.   We are  part of the denomination called the Christian Reformed Church of North America (CRCNA).  The  CRCNA (and Bethel CRC) has roots that go back to Holland and as a result you might still notice a lot of Dutch-sounding last names, however over the years and generations the church has become more diverse and we continue to welcome all cultures and ethnicities.  More information about our church leadership structure and some of our specific beliefs can be found here.

WHEN WE MEET (SUNDAY SERVICES):
We gather on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. for a worship service with a blend of traditional and contemporary music led by several different praise bands.   We have a variety of members that share their gifts and talents each week.  Some are behind the scenes running projection and audio systems, some are at the front playing piano or drums, or sharing vocal talents, and others lead Sunday School classes or help in the nursery.
There’s no formal dress code – some people come in jeans and some dress more formally.  We just want you to come as you are and be comfortable worshipping with us in whatever expression of style is you.

ACCESSIBILITY
Our church is equipped with wheel chair accessible washrooms and an elevator to access the lower level. Hearing-assist devices are also available during services – check with the greeter or usher when you arrive.

COMMUNION/LORD’S SUPPER
On the third Sunday of every month we celebrate communion or the Lord’s Supper. Individual pieces of bread and grape juice are passed throughout the church for professing members and visitors that are believers in good standing in their churches, to take and eat and drink the bread and the grape juice that signify the atoning sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for our sins.  We celebrate solemnly for Jesus death on the cross and with joy for the resurrection and His ascension to heaven where He lives and reigns.

CHILD CARE:
We offer nursery care for children from newborn babies up to age two, and year-round Sunday School for 3 year-olds.  From September to June we also have Sunday School classes that are dismissed before the sermon for kindergarten to grade 6 students.  We welcome all visiting children to join Sunday School classes if they would like to.  Our volunteers and leaders complete Vulnerable Sector screening and undergo Safe Church training.

You might notice that we love connecting over coffee at Bethel CRC.  After church you’re welcome to join us for coffee or tea in the Fellowship Hall — and let the coffee servers know you’re visiting because we’d love to get to know you!
