Bethel CRC through World Renew is working together with Canadian Foodgrains Bank to end global hunger. Canadian Foodgrains Bank works with locally-based organizations in developing countries to meet emergency food needs, achieve long-term solutions to hunger and works to foster informed action by Canadians and governments to support this international cause. As a church in a farming community we have a successful “Growing Project” that raises crops to market with all proceeds going to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank. Donations to the Growing Project are used to help buy input costs like seed and fertilizer. The crop grown increases the value of each donation which is then matched 4:1 by the Canadian Government.
